Crispy baked broccoli with MEDIHEMP organic hemp nuts

Broccoli is boring? Not with us! With this recipe, you can make a delicious dish out of a vegetable that often doesn't inspire a storm of enthusiasm. Not only is tube-baked broccoli super crunchy and healthy, but it will soon be a weekly staple on your menu. As a vegetable side dish for Sunday dinner, it's incredibly good, and even as a tasty solo performer on your plate, crispy tube-baked broccoli will make your taste buds dance.

INGREDIENTS

For the baked broccoli:Crispy baked broccoli

  • 1 broccoli (300g cut into florets)
  • 70g spelt flour
  • 70g (½ cup) breadcrumbs
  • 4 tablespoons MEDIHEMP Hemp Nuts
  • 100ml milk or vegetable milk
  • 1 pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • Rapeseed oil for drizzling

 

PREPARATION

Preheat oven to 200°C degrees top and bottom heat and line a baking tray with baking paper.

 

Wash broccoli and pat dry well. Remove the stalk and cut into florets.

 

Mix spelt flour and milk in a bowl. In a second bowl, mix bread crumbs, MEDIHEMP Hemp Nuts, cayenne pepper and salt.

 

Dip the broccoli florets first in the wet flour mixture and then roll in the breadcrumb mixture until evenly coated. Shake the bowl as you do this.

 

Brush baking sheet with oil and spread the breaded florets on it, spacing them slightly apart. Then, using a pastry or grill brush, coat the florets evenly with oil. Bake in the oven for about 35-40 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Turn halfway through the baking time.

 

Serve baked broccoli with sauce to taste and enjoy.
